David D. Quirk
President & CEO
 

David incorporated Quirk Construction Corp. in September of 1984 immediately after graduating from Austin Preparatory School in Reading, MA, a school to which David still credits the cadence and discipline which was instilled into him at a young age.  He has grown what was then a small lawn service business into today, one of the largest and industry leading construction firms specializing in sports complexes, parks and playgrounds throughout New England.

David’s role as President and CEO requires his oversight in all aspects of the company from financial management, marketing, and client relations. 

David was one of the first three to become a Certified Field Builder in New England as recognized by the ASBA.  He has held Board positions at the Glen Urquhart School and is currently on the Executive Board at Turner Hill Golf Club.  Outside of the work place, David enjoys fly –fishing, skiing, golfing, private aviation and travel.  He resides in Topsfield, MA along with his wife and three children and enjoys down time in Maine and Montana. 

Michael Alden

Vice President of Operations

 

While putting himself through Salem State University, Michael has been with Quirk Construction Corporation since its onset.  As Vice President of Operations, Michael oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the company.  A well-respected member of the construction industry, Michael draws upon his 27 years of experience to ensure the quality of all projects and that they are delivered on time and on budget.  Outside of the office Michael enjoys salt water fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Mark Masella

Project Estimator/Manager

  

As a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Mark has worked through the ranks starting from the bottom. Through his 21 years at Quirk Construction he is now in charge of all project estimating and bid proposals. Mark is well respected in the industry for his attention to detail and vast knowledge of the park and athletic field construction industry. Mark is married and has 3 kids which he is actively involved with in sports and extracurricular activities. Outside of work Mark enjoys golf, tennis, skiing and reading long books.

James Warren

Project Manager

 

James Warren, Project Manager, joined Quirk Construction Corporation in 2012.  Prior to joining us, James worked as a project engineer at one of the largest architecture/engineering firms in the region.  With over 20 years of experience in design, permitting and construction administration, James brings a broad range of knowledge required to execute projects of any size and complexity.  A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering, James enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and coaching youth sports.

Colby Hurd

Assistant Project Manager

 

Colby recently graduated from Fitchburg State University with a degree in Construction Management and joined our team in 2014. Before coming on board he worked at his local school district performing field maintenance for 4 years. Today he works alongside our team and assists in managing projects around the New England Area. Since coming on he has worked on a variety of projects and has established himself in the industry. When he is not managing projects he enjoys NASCAR, football, camping, and snowboarding.

Candice Monteiro

Office Manager

 

Candice has been with Quirk Construction Corporation since August of 2006.  While holding a degree in Business Management from Northern Essex Community College, she gives the company its moxie in the office. She is responsible for managing all of the company’s accounts, administration and tracking of our field guys, and office operations.  In her time away from the office Candice loves to travel with her husband and two children.
